Siennax also offers an environment in which Windows-based applications can be run. This environment has the following characteristics:

An organisation on the Windows environment is provided with the following as standard:

  • A server with the operating system implemented.
  • One DNS entry.
  • Incoming and outgoing Internet traffic, HTTP and HTTPS.
  • Failsafe network storage.
  • Use of SMTP relay servers for outgoing eMail, including virus scanning.
  • Daily backup of content, such as uploads, in both the production and acceptance environments' application files.

The following options are also available:

  • Load and performance tests.
  • The use of directory servers for storage of user accounts.
  • Authentication by means of proxy servers. This option does, however, rely on the storage of user accounts on Siennax directory servers.
  • Facilities for provisioning and management of user accounts on directory servers.
  • Database services.
  • One FTP account per organisation, configured for uploading static files to the application file.
  • Server Certificates for HTTPS access.

Siennax can provide a Windows server as a so-called managed server. This is a server that has an operating system installed and a number of basic facilities, which you manage yourself in terms of the installation and management of the applications running on the server. See also Managed Server.
